Tintin in Istanbul Exhibition at RED Art

RED art Istanbul will host the contemporary artist Hamid Tolouei Fard's “Tintin in Istanbul” exhibition between June 4-18.

Hamid Tolouei Fard, one of the most famous contemporary artists in Iran and also a talented calligrapher, paints the famous comic character Tintin in various Istanbul landscapes in his new exhibition that will start on June 4 at RED art Istanbul.

Hamid Tolouei Fard, whose exhibitions are held in many cities of the world and whose works are in museums, reinterprets today's pop culture elements with his calligraphy, which he mastered at an early age, and puts the figure of Tintin at the center in his latest works. The artist, who followed the character's adventure in Istanbul from a different perspective in the movie "Tinten in Istanbul" released in 1961; he goes on the way of telling the Istanbul in his own eyes through Tintin.

Fard's artistic journey; “I took classical calligraphy training for 14 years. After the age of 20, I discovered new worlds in the digital environment. The current stop of my art career, which I have been trying to develop for 16 years, is pop-art. I have been producing in this direction for 7 years.” as summarizes.

This project, which will be held for the first time in Turkey, also includes very impressive digital works of the works within the RED art istanbul application. Tintin in Istanbul can be seen at RED art Istanbul between 4-18 June.
