A railway bridge collapsed in Russia's Kursk Oblast. Kursk Governor Roman Starovoit said on his Telegram channel that the incident was the result of sabotage.

“Sabotage has taken place, a criminal case has been opened, the investigating authorities and specialists will deal with it in detail,” wrote the governor.

Kursk Oblast is located on the border with Ukraine.

Earlier in the day, a fire broke out at a military base in Belgorod, close to Russia's border with Ukraine.
