The launch meeting of the “Turkish Cuisine Week Erzurum Breakfast” project, which was held under the auspices of the Presidency, was held at Palandöken Ski Center. At the press conference held by Erzurum Governor Okay Memiş and Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Sekmen, the "Erzurum Breakfast", which has 60 kinds of products, was introduced. Governor Okay Memiş, in his assessment here, emphasized the importance of the project, which was prepared in cooperation with the Erzurum Governorship, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism under the auspices of the Presidency. Noting that “Erzurum Breakfast” is a portrait of Anatolia, Governor Memiş said, “With this special project, we will hopefully introduce Erzurum Breakfast, which reflects the unique culinary culture of Anatolia, to the whole world. Today, we launched a total of 60 types of products here. Our local flavors reflect the outstanding examples of world cuisine. Erzurum, which is an important tourism city in Turkey, will be brought to the world showcase with its famous tastes and Erzurum breakfast.”

Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Sekmen also said, "It is a fact that today the understanding of nutrition has started to turn towards the traditional with organic and natural products." President Sekmen said, “Each region and every corner of our beautiful Anatolia essentially expresses a unique taste and flavor feast,” and continued his words as follows: “We have such special flavors and such a rich regional cuisine in Erzurum The product really deserves branding. From this point of view, we want to brand the distinguished products of Erzurum Breakfast and turn them into brand values. Moreover, this also means cultural communication and interaction… Because our traditional and local tastes are the description of our common cultural values that make us who we are, but also contain a universal language that expresses our way of life. Within the scope of the Turkish Cuisine Week, which was announced based on the book "Turkish Cuisine with Centennial Recipes" prepared with the support of our Ministry of Culture and Tourism, under the auspices of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Ms. Emine Erdogan, the pearl city of Anatolia was introduced, Erzurum. On behalf of my city, I would like to express my gratitude to all organizations and everyone who contributed to the presentation of the breakfast.” After the speeches, 60 kinds of products including Erzurum Breakfast were introduced.
