Strengthening its position as the most important global hub of the region with its infrastructure, technology and high-level travel experience, IGA Istanbul Airport, in cooperation with the TR Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Promotion and Turkish Airlines; It became the official host of Routes World in 2023. Thanks to Routes World, one of the most prestigious organizations in the world aviation industry, nearly 4 senior executives from the global aviation industry are expected to visit Istanbul.

IGA Istanbul Airport, Turkey's gateway to the world, was officially entitled to host Routes World in 2023 with the cooperation of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism's General Directorate of Promotion and Turkish Airlines. Routes events, where the world's leading airports and destinations have been through a tough competition to host since it was held for the first time in 1995, are considered one of the most prestigious organizations in the international aviation industry. Activity; It provides a meeting center for airlines, airports and destinations to plan and negotiate their future services.

Routes World 2023, which is an important host for the Turkish aviation history and the promotion of Istanbul together with Turkey in the international arena, stands out as the first full-scale Routes World event in the Covid-19 process. This important meeting, which will be held for the 2023th time in 28, is expected to play an important role in the recovery process of the aviation industry. Besides being a global hub, Istanbul offers the opportunity to become a direct destination and attract low-cost airlines in particular.

Turkey Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) General Manager Yalçın Lokmanhekim said, “There is no doubt that such an important organization will make a positive contribution to the promotion of Istanbul and therefore Turkey. Underlining that TGA is making a great effort to promote Turkey abroad, Lokmanhekim said: “Today, Turkey carries out intensive promotional activities in 2023 countries of the world through TGA.
