At Sporfest Izmir, which will be held within the framework of Marathon Izmir, the third of which will be run on Sunday, April 17, the opportunity to experience different sports branches will be offered, and a full festival atmosphere will be created with runs, tournaments, events and concerts. The third edition of Marathon İzmir, which is Turkey's fastest track and was awarded the International Road Race Label by the World Athletics Federation, will pass in a festive atmosphere. In the events before the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, very colorful images will be created and all participants will have hours of fun.
The giant pre-race sports events organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with the Turkish Athletics Federation and the World Athletics Federation, and the registrations will end on April 12, will start on Thursday, April 14 under the name of Sporfest Izmir and will last for four days. In the area to be established in Kültürpark, those who wish will have the opportunity to experience different sports branches in the field of 12 different federations.
Within the scope of Sporfest İzmir events, where football training will be given to girls, experience areas will be created for branches such as canoeing, archery, mountaineering, 3×3 streetball, folk dances and modern dance, handball, underwater viewing, mini volleyball, sailing and cycling. Sporfest İzmir, which will be colorful with tournaments and shows, will also feature zumba, yoga, capoeira, breathing and meditation, fit dance, bodyfit events, interviews and concerts.
Children's race will be held for the first time
One of the most important events within the scope of Sports Fest İzmir will be the Children's Run, which will be held for the first time this year. 16 children born between 2008-2012 will experience running and each will receive a commemorative medal at the race to be held in Kültürpark on April 650. The third of the Marathon İzmir will be held on Sunday, April 17 at 08.00:42, in front of the former İZFAŞ General Directorate building on Şair Eşref Boulevard. Athletes in the XNUMX-kilometer Marathon Izmir, via Alsancak Karşıyakaand will return before arriving at Bostanlı Pier. Athletes, who will arrive in İnciraltı on the same track this time via Mustafa Kemal Sahil Boulevard, will return from Marina İzmir and complete the race at the starting point.
There will also be a 10 kilometer run.
A 10-kilometer run will also be organized within the scope of Marathon İzmir. The start of this race will be given at 07.20 on the same day and from the same point. In the 10-kilometer race, the athletes will return from the Köprü Tram stop on Mustafa Kemal Sahil Boulevard and complete the race on the opposite lane of the old İZFAŞ building of Fuar Kültürpark.
