Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) organizes 4 April World Stray Animal Day program in cooperation with Istanbul Volunteers. "First Contact with Dogs and Correct Communication Workshop" will be held in the program to be held at İBB Tepeören Stray Animal Temporary Nursing Home. After the "Paw Game", which will be played with the aim of inculcating the love of animals in children, painting activities will also be organized.

Our dear friends, who found a home thanks to the "Own Istanbul" Project, which started on March 27 with the cooperation of IMM, Istanbul Volunteers and SemtPati, will meet with their new families.
Animal lovers who want to adopt dogs in IMM Nursing Homes can make a preliminary application through the SemtPati application. Istanbul residents who fill out the application form can meet their dear friends as a result of the evaluation made by Istanbul Volunteers and IMM Veterinary Services Directorate. The “SemtPati” mobile application can be downloaded for free from iOS and Android devices.
1 THOUSAND STREET ANIMALS TREATED IN 179 YEAR
IMM serves stray animals with a total of 5 Stray Animal Temporary Nursing Homes, 2 on the European Side and 7 on the Anatolian Side. Within the scope of rehabilitation works, IMM Veterinary Services Directorate records all animals in nursing homes by sterilizing, vaccinating and antiparasitic applications. Vaccinated 86 animals, sterilized 378 animals,
He registered 59 thousand 868 animals by applying microchip,
511 animals were adopted.
IMM, which attaches great importance to awareness raising activities for children, reached thousands of students in 2021 and provided training on animal health and love.
