After the first cooperation, a total of 2020 billion dollars of high value-added product exports were realized on 2021 destinations determined in the 4-month period between December 28 and March 1,2. The average value of fast and safe transports by air cargo is positioned as 50 times more valuable than land, sea and railway modes. Looking at the transported tonnage data of our 28 export markets, the tonnage transported in the 2020 December-2021 March period was 65,669 tons, with an increase of 10,7 percent compared to the previous period.

Pointing out that exports have increased from 40 percent to 105 percent in the last three years in various exported product groups such as fresh fruit, aquatic products, textiles, automotive products, and pharmaceuticals, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said that with the commercial bridges established, it is important to raise Turkey to the position of the leader of the aviation industry. He said they felt proud. Pointing out that Turkey has made a great commercial breakthrough thanks to this strong cooperation, Karaismailoğlu made the following assessments:

Thanks to the commercial bridges that Turkey has built from the air, its products produced with a lot of effort all over Anatolia will be delivered to 32 destinations in 46 countries that are active in America, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, in short all over the world, and will dominate the market in exports. It will be transported by THY with a 35 percent discount. With its wide flight network, our exporters will be able to reach markets on a global scale with a much larger capacity, in a much faster, higher quality and advantageous way, and will seize opportunities in new markets. The share of air transport in exports will be increased even more. We aim to accelerate our country's export mobilization, with the expectation of realizing high value-added exports close to 6 billion dollars by the end of the year. With this successful cooperation, which contributes to the country's economy in every way, our goal of making Istanbul a logistics center of attraction will also gain momentum.”

Taking these into account, we have become one of the fastest developing countries in the world with our air transportation policies and activities since 2003.”
