Due to the infrastructure works carried out by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in Taksim, the nostalgic tram, which has been stopped for about 1 year and planned to be opened partially tomorrow, will not be put into service.
The opening program of the nostalgic tram line at Istiklal Street in Istanbul was postponed. The nostalgic tram was reportedly unable to start its voyages due to technical reasons.
13 percent of the works started on January 98 with the aim of renovating the tram rails with the installation of an infrastructure system that will radically end the open excavation in Istiklal Street have been completed. The works are planned to be completed by 31 December. Within the scope of the works, the telephone, internet, wastewater, rainwater, drinking water and natural gas infrastructure, as well as the Nostalgic Tram line, were renewed.
