Collective bargaining crisis broke out in İZBAN. An agreement could not be reached in the collective bargaining negotiations between İZBAN and the employees of the Demiryol-İş İzmir Branch of Türk-İş. The negotiations between the union and the institution, which have been going on since June 6, have not been successful. During the process, the Demiryol-İş Union decided to strike.

A total of 10 340 personnel left their jobs today, including mechanics, station operators, box office workers, maintenance workers.

Due to the strike launched by the workers at 08.00:XNUMX, the main line of public transportation in Izmir, İZBAN, was disabled.

İZBAN employees, who supported the strike gathered in front of the Alsancak İZBAN Station, said that they claim their rights and are right to react. Many union members affiliated with the Izmir Branch of the Railroad-İş Union argued that they were aware of the victimization of citizens, but that there was no other remedy for claiming their rights.
