Following the historic mass in Iznik on the same day, Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Istanbul continues as planned. Temporary restrictions are applied on some roads and routes due to visits.
According to the statement made by the Governorship of IstanbulAs of 11:00 today, Ayvansaray, Balat, Fener and Cibali stations on the T5 Eminönü-Alibeyköy Tram Line will remain closed for operation until further notice. Trams on this line will continue their services without stopping at closed stops.
Within the scope of the measures taken by the authorities for security reasons, passengers were warned to use alternative routes. It was stated that new notifications regarding the road condition will be shared later during the visit.
