Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu continues his efforts to expand the network of logistics centers in line with Türkiye’s global logistics power target. He stated that the number of logistics centers, which is currently 12, will be increased to 25, and emphasized that this strategy is a critical step that will strengthen the main arteries of international trade.
The Ministry stated that two important investments are progressing rapidly: Rize İyidere Logistics Center and Sivas Logistics Center. These centers aim to increase logistics capacity by forming the cornerstones of the growing network.
Rize İyidere Logistics Center and Port
İyidere Port stands out as an activity center carrying the commercial cargo of the region. Minister Uraloğlu said that the port will be a critical transfer point that will carry cargo from land to sea and then to European markets. This investment aims to increase the regional trade volume and support the country’s exports, while strengthening the economic relations of the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions.
