Taste Feast in Mudanya

Popular flavors of Cretan Cuisine were introduced at the "Cretan Cuisine Flavor Feast" event organized in Armistice Square within the scope of Tourism Week activities organized by Mudanya Municipality.

Mudanya Mayor Deniz Dalgıç, CHP District Chairman Kurtuluş Furkan Atalay, as well as municipal council members and many visitors attended the event. More than twenty flavors were presented to the taste of Mudanya residents and visitors to the district at the event organized in cooperation with Mudanya Lausanne Emigrants Foundation, Mudanya Cretans and Yanyans Culture and Solidarity Association (GİRİTYA) and Siği Kumyaka Village Women's Solidarity Association. Participants in the event, where many flavors such as Askolibrus (Şevket Bostan) and Fava (Broad Bean Paste), Eftazmo (Chickpea Bread), Kuluraça (Cretan Pastry) were introduced, also received recipes from master hands.

Mudanya Mayor Deniz Dalgıç said that Mudanya hosts many different cultures and said, “We keep these cultures alive by cooperating with the associations and non-governmental organizations in our district. "We want to pass on the traditions left to us by our ancestors to future generations in the best way possible," he said. Dalgıç, who visited the stands set up in the square one by one, also thanked the presidents and representatives of the association who supported the event.
