The aim of the women, who also produce tracksuits and underwear for the people of the region, in a sense of unity and solidarity after the earthquake, is to help children feel safe.

Acting on the principle that as long as there is unity and solidarity, all kinds of difficulties and troubles can be overcome, Mersinden Women's Cooperative produced and sent tracksuits and underwear in order to heal the wounds of the citizens living in the region after the earthquake. Mersinden Women's Cooperative volunteers, now with the same feelings, started the production of 'Sleeping Companions' for earthquake-affected children.

Gülten Çavuş, Textile Branch Manager of Mersinden Women's Cooperative, said that they realized the project in order to warm the hearts of the children who experienced the disaster, and said, "The earthquake process is a very difficult process for all of us. In this difficult process, we decided to produce toys so that our children can feel a shelter, a toy and more warmth. Together with our supportive mothers, we are producing 'Sleep Companion' for our earthquake-affected children.”

Stating that they aim to provide a feeling of warmth to children and make them feel safe, Sergeant said, “It will be produced for all of our children in the earthquake. Later, we will also have phases of projecting this. Our aim is to pass this process in this way. We had previously produced tracksuits and underwear for earthquake survivor families. But right now, children are very precious. We aim to heal their wounds in this way," he said.

Sıdıka Doygun, one of the volunteer mothers who stated that it is better than anything to make people happy, especially children, said, “Many people were lost in the earthquake. Making children happy is better than anything. There are orphans and orphans there. It is a very nice thing to make injured children, injured people happy, whatever they need. I am also a single mother. I lost my wife, I also have an injured child. It is very nice to help injured mothers and their children and make them happy. I struggle alone to make him happy. That's why it's very nice to help others, make them happy and meet their needs. I wish it was always like this.”
