“The only recipe that will pave the way for the economy is agriculture”

Speaking at the opening ceremony, President Soyer said, “In this country, agriculture is the only recipe that can pave the way for our economy, break the back of poverty, and end the cost of living. We have no other power to level this country apart from agriculture. So what kind of agriculture? Is it only agriculture, which is done by large factories and industries that make large production? On the contrary, agriculture made by small producers, farmers and peasants will also breathe life into this country,” he said.

“We are glad to see the ship passing through the grain corridor”

Reminding the decisions taken by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk at the Economics Congress, President Soyer said, “A self-sufficient country can only be independent and free. This is the guarantee of freedom and independence. We were once one of the world's seven self-sufficient economies. To what point did those who constantly maintain their domestic and national prowess bring us? Today, we are glad to see the ship passing through the grain corridor opened due to the Ukraine-Russian war. We say that our elders succeed. We were producing those grains. We didn't need anyone. Those grains were produced by the hardworking peasants of this country on the land of this country. No, don't loot. This story is neither destiny nor necessity. That land, sun and water are all there. Despite the climate crisis, it is still possible to produce. We will do all this,” he said.

“We will establish another Turkey together”

Mentioning the importance of Turkey's first shepherd's map, President Soyer said that they will continue to work to prevent migration from rural to urban areas. President Soyer said, “They upset the whole balance. All this poverty, hunger, unemployment has plagued us. But you will see; Another agriculture is possible, another Turkey is possible, we will establish it together, you will see," he said.

“You have a municipality that cures your problems”

President Soyer said, “We renewed our slaughterhouse in Ödemiş on the Peninsula. We built our slaughterhouses in Bergama, Kiraz and Tire. And now we opened Türkelli. We are trying to do what is the most support we will give to livestock and agriculture. We have completed the Bayındır Milk Processing Facility. We are getting ready to open it very soon. We will process an average of 100 tons of milk per day. We have the capacity to increase to 200 tons. While the state and the public are gradually withdrawing from these matters, why do we, as a municipality, enter? Because there is no state left to defend the rights of the public. But Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will continue to be with the manufacturer until the end. Your smile is the most precious goal for us. You have a municipality that cares about your problems and cures your problems. Agriculture is our top priority. We have no other choice. Let no one worry, we will establish a brand new country together until the end. Something will change, everything will change," he said.

“The Bronze President caught our last cry for help”

Producer Ahmet Utku Asman said, “I would like to thank our esteemed president for making our voice heard here. Our Tunç president showed us how valuable the work we do is on this path he set out by saying that another agriculture is possible. This is very valuable to us, very valuable. While we were about to lose our voice and breath on this road, our president caught our last distress call. Goodbye, my president. Thanks to you, the small producer took a breath.”

Slaughterhouse in EU standards

The facility, whose construction was completed in accordance with the regulations of "Special Hygiene Rules for Food Hygiene and Animal Foods", cost an investment of approximately 20 million liras. There is a slaughterhouse on the lower floor of the two-floor facility, and administrative buildings and a slaughter monitoring hall on the upper floor. The cold storages in the facilities, which have a slaughtering capacity of 50 cattle and 100 sheep and goats per day, have been kept large considering the meat supply outside of İzmir. At the same time, the carcasses of 50 bovine and 100 ovine animals can be cooled in the cold storages. In the facility, which will operate with the system that eliminates hand contact, every process from the slaughter to the weighing of the carcass is monitored with a camera.
