With the “Golden Needle” project to be carried out in cooperation with the 9 Eylül Rotary Club and the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association, the Metropolitan Municipality aims to increase the employment of women and youth in the field of baby clothes sewing. There is a 40 percent employment guarantee at the end of the training for the trainees who will start training in February.
“Our priority is the young unemployed and women”
Vocational Factory Branch Manager Zeki Kapı, who stated that they focused on two groups, especially with the poverty and unemployment that had deepened recently, said, “Young unemployed and women have been our priority in employment. Within the scope of the Golden Needle project, 150 women in Halkapınar, Karabağlar and Bayraklı will receive training in sewing baby clothes at our course centers. At the end of the training, there is a 40 percent employment guarantee. Training will begin in the first week of February,” he said.
