Turkey's leading exterior thermal insulation brand Dalmaçyalı pointed out that due to the 9-15 January Energy Efficiency Week, thermal insulation is among the urgent measures in the fight against the climate crisis.

While the effects of global warming and climate change are becoming more noticeable with each passing day, it continues to be the number one common agenda of the world. The fact that the surface temperature of the world has increased by 1,2 degrees since the pre-Industrial Revolution and will continue to increase if no measures are taken threatens the future of humanity. If the World Meteorological Organization's prediction that temperatures may increase by 2-5 degrees by the end of this century comes true, it is expected that 1 billion people will be affected by the deadly heat and humidity.

Betek Boya General Manager Tayfun Küçükoğlu, who made evaluations on behalf of Dalmatian in the light of all these developments due to the 9-15 January Energy Efficiency Week, said, "Our world is alarming, if we do not take precautions, we will lose the future." Küçükoğlu said that in order to protect our future, all countries around the world are expected to carry out studies in line with the goal of limiting the global temperature increase to 2 degrees by keeping it below 1,5 degrees, “In order to achieve this goal, the European Union aims to reduce carbon emissions by 2030 percent compared to 1990 levels by 55. announced the for 55 program. At this point, it is of great importance to use limited and problematic energy resources in the most accurate and most efficient way.”

Betek Boya General Manager Tayfun Küçükoğlu stated that they have contributed to the development of thermal insulation and energy efficiency awareness with the Dalmaçyalı brand, which has been operating under the roof of Betek since 2003. stated that. Küçükoğlu said, “We have to work to achieve a carbon neutral world. There is no other way to save the world. Because if we do not achieve these goals, what we gain today will not be useful in the future. The goal is to reach a carbon neutral European continent by 2050. By 2050, the number of houses in the world will double and 90 percent of the houses that exist today will be in 2050. In other words, all houses in the world should be produced energy-efficiently, and the old ones should be converted into energy-efficient ones. For this reason, countries need to take serious steps on thermal insulation while trying to prevent the climate crisis.”

Betek Boya General Manager Tayfun Küçükoğlu emphasized that more than 25 percent of nearly 70 million residences in our country do not have thermal insulation and made the following assessments:

“31 percent of the total energy consumption in Turkey is used in buildings. 80% of the energy consumption in buildings is spent for heating and cooling purposes. With the increase in energy costs, the invoice paid for the imports of energy products such as oil and gas in the first ten months reached 118,4 billion dollars with an increase of 80,5 percent, according to TUIK data. In the last year, the bill paid for energy imports reached 94,2 billion dollars, while the deficit in this area was 79,8 billion dollars. It is possible to save up to 60 percent by making Thermal Insulation on the heating and cooling side of the energy consumption in houses. With the thermal insulation of our country, we have the opportunity to consume 8 to 12 billion dollars less energy. This result will also contribute greatly to the reduction of our current account deficit.”

Reminding that they, as Dalmatian, have been carrying out many studies since 2003 in order to raise public awareness and explain the right thermal insulation to consumers, and that they have been traveling from city to city to tell citizens about the contribution of thermal insulation to the country's and household's economy and the future of the world, Tayfun Küçükoğlu said: I invite citizens to take the necessary measures to protect the future of our children by drawing attention to their problems and our solution proposal.
