In the presentation made to us in the Metropolitan Municipality last month, it was explained that the project has reached the approval level of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, General Directorate of Infrastructure and that the EIA has been approved. We learned that it will be launched very soon. We heard from the press that the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization is doing serious work on cleaning up the nuclear waste in Emrez. We would have expected information, but it is still a very important work. Hopefully it will be cleared in 2023. 2023 is a very important year. In the last days of the year, we made adjustments to the wages of our colleagues. Compared to the previous month, we made a 70 percent increase. It may not be enough, but as a result of the economy of the municipality, our friends in the lowest group will receive a money of 12 thousand 700 TL. They can ask for more, it is very important for us to pay these fees day by day, as we cannot predict where the country's economy will go in the coming days.
Ugur Inan Atmaca, Deputy Chairman of the AK Party Group, who took the floor in the speeches off the agenda, made evaluations about the Karabağlar-Gaziemir metro line. In 2019, Mr. Soyer stated that the metro line would be extended to Sarnıç. However, when it came to 2022, we saw that the Cistern was removed. Besides being a residential area of Sarnıç, it is also an industrial area. It makes an incredible contribution to the daytime population. The fact that the metro line has not been extended to Sarnıç is important for the traffic problem.
President Arda, who took the floor after Atmaca, said, “In the negotiations with the airport, it was said that the Cistern was removed from the route because it was not allowed to pass under the runway. The extension of the metro to Menderes has come to the fore. It has been said that the connection of Gaziemir Metro to Sarnıç with a tram line will be on the agenda in the coming days," he said.
MHP Group Deputy Chairman Selahattin Şahin, who took the floor, said, “The subway project in the past was important to us. The cistern is important to us. What you say may be true, Mr. President, but we should all stand on this. The cistern is also important for the Metropolitan. I think we need to bring this to the agenda in the Metropolitan Municipality and include it in the project again," he said.
