Mayor Fatma Şahin made statements about the Metro Project, which is one of the important projects that will solve the transportation problem of the city. Noting that the Metro Project is ready, Şahin said that they maintain all the contacts for the project to be included in the investment program in 2024. Explaining that the application project for the 10-kilometer Metro on the route of Düztepe, Oncology Hospital and City Hospital, starting from the Station, was approved by AYGM, Şahin said, “We have been telling Ankara about this project for years. They were saying that we should finish Gaziray. Thank God Gaziray is over. Now our new target is Metro. Hopefully, we will lay the foundation of Metro in 2024. We are working with the Ministry on this issue. If something goes wrong and is not included in the investment program, our plan B is ready. We will do this project ourselves. We also have the resources for this," he said.
