The tours became even more colorful when flamingos started courtship dances during the winter period. Tourists will have the chance to watch the dance of flamingos until the end of March. In addition, the 2 million-year-old Gediz Delta, which is home to dozens of bird species such as maple plover, red beet, a swordbill, spoonbill, silver plover, hornbird, crested pelican, kingfisher and black-billed tern, will be waiting for the people of Izmir with its magnificent beauties. In addition to the South Gediz Delta, during the tour to the Middle Gediz Delta, thousands of birds living in the salt pans of the old Çamaltı Saltpan, which is a salt production area, can be watched very closely.

After the tours attracted great interest, İzDoğa is preparing to add a second boat and tour bus to its structure. Boat tours are made every day of the week except Monday, five times a day, with a 6-person boat departing from Mavişehir Fisherman's Shelter. The boat tour takes an hour and a half. The tour boat was designed to be built with a small and quiet engine in order not to disturb the birds. The bus tour, which is held every day of the week with a quota of 35 people, departs from Sasalı Wildlife Park and ends at Manya Cape, where the Southern Gediz Delta comes closest to southern İzmir. In addition to flamingo and other bird species, land species and mammals can also be seen on the Flamingo Road Bus Tours. The tours are accompanied by expert guides provided by İzDoğa. Tourists have the opportunity to get to know bird species closely with bird watching telescopes/binoculars.

Tickets can be purchased from the box offices at Mavişehir Fisherman's Shelter, Sasalı Wildlife Park and İzmir Bird Sanctuary Visitor Center. http://www.izdogaturizm.com/turlar can be obtained from the website. Detailed information about the tours can be reached by calling (531) 932 09 93.
