Crested Tern Spotted For The First Time In Mersin

Göksu delta in Mersin Silifke hosts thousands of bird species in certain periods.

Some bird species can be found not only in the Göksu delta, but also in various parts of Mersin. A few days ago, bird watcher Turan Uca, while photographing bird species at the Mezitli Taşkıran facilities with his son, managed to photograph the Crested Tern bird species, which has not been seen in Turkey until now. The fact that the Crested Tern, which lives in Africa and South Asia, was photographed for the first time in Turkey by Turan Uca and served on a digital platform, created excitement among bird photographers.

Turan Uca, who succeeded in imaging the Crested Tern and included it in Turkey's bird literature, had previously succeeded in imaging the Small Yellowtail species in the Silifke Göksu Delta.
