Expressing that the Badal Tunnel is one of the most important parts of the road project they started to respond to the transportation needs of Amasya, which has developed rapidly in the last 20 years, President Erdoğan said that, in addition to the 921-meter tunnel on the route between Merzifon-Osmancık, a 3,6-kilometer connection road and 4 bridges are built. said he was in.

President Erdoğan said: “Thanks to the tunnel passage, which disables the old road, which negatively affects travel time and safety due to its sharp bends, our citizens will now be able to travel peacefully on this route. Badal Tunnel has a much greater meaning for those who know the ordeal of this road, especially in winter.” said.

President Erdoğan added that the project, which will save 21,4 million liras annually from time and fuel and reduce carbon emissions by 265 tons, has been implemented with an investment of 760 million liras.

Speaking at the opening, Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu pointed out that Amasya occupies an important place in the Northern Line, which runs from the Iranian border to the Bulgarian border in the east-west direction. Expressing that highway investments to meet the increasing urban and intercity transportation needs due to the rapidly developing socio-economic structure of Amasya are of great importance, Karaismailoğlu said that in this context, the Badal Tunnel project on the Osmancık-Merzifon Road, which constitutes 115,1 km of the Northern Line, is planned. that they have implemented.
