Speaking at the AK Party Parliamentary Group Meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the amount of minimum wage support. In addition to the announcement of civil servants and pensioners, the minimum wage support was also updated.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced at the AK Party Parliamentary Group Meeting that the minimum wage support paid to small businesses has been increased from 250 TL to 400 TL. More than 1 million 860 thousand businesses and employers employing domestic workers will also benefit from the minimum wage support.

In order to benefit from the minimum wage support, monthly premium and service documents or concise, premium service declarations for 2022 must be submitted within the legal time limit and no missing notifications must be made. The discount amount to be provided with the minimum wage support will be deducted from the insurance premium debts arising from the following months.

Earnings up to the minimum wage of all employees, including workers and civil servants, who earn wage income are exempt from income tax and stamp tax. The fact that the minimum wage is non-taxable will provide an advantage to those who only earn gross wages. Since net wage earners are not affected by the income tax bracket, there will be no advantage for them, their employers will benefit.
