Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Department of Cultural and Natural Heritage, the Foundation for the Protection and Promotion of Environment and Cultural Values ​​(ÇEKÜL) and the Tohumluk Foundation organized the sixth Ankara Heritage Cultural Ambassadors Program.

Within the scope of the program, the students of Batıkent Haydar Aliyev Secondary School visited Ankara Castle and Anatolian Civilizations Museum. Children who also participated in workshops in the field of experience and education were awarded a “cultural ambassador” certificate.

Within the scope of the program, children first; Under the guidance of ÇEKÜL Foundation Ankara Representative Faruk Soydemir, he was informed about archaeological, architectural and geographical issues while visiting Ankara Castle and Aslanhane Mosque.

ÇEKÜL Foundation Ankara Representative Faruk Soydemir said, “Our goal while doing this event is for our children to learn about Ankara's cultural heritage. To make an effort to protect our cultural heritage in the future. That is our whole purpose.” he said.

In the Experience and Education Area in the Anatolian Civilizations Museum, children received training on making tablets from clay and minting coins.

Speaking about the trips, the Head of Cultural and Natural Heritage Department Bekir Ödemiş said, “We added a new one to our field of experience in this trip. In addition to the historical houses and inns of Ankara, we made our children work in our field of experience and education, which we can say is the first in Turkey, in the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Here he learned about clay tablets and ancient coinage.” said.
