There are 29 tons of tents, blankets and food materials in 470 wagons in our Pakistan Kindness Train.

Ufuk Yalçın, General Manager of TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ, emphasized that they feel the pain of the Pakistanis who lost their lives, were injured and displaced in the flood disaster.

TCDD Transportation General Manager Yalçın continued his words as follows: 'There are 29 tons of tents, blankets and food materials in 470 wagons in our Pakistan Kindness Train, which will be operated under the coordination of our General Directorate and AFAD and which we will send off together a little later. The materials provided by the efforts and support of our non-governmental organizations, especially the Turkish Red Crescent, will meet the urgent needs of our Pakistani brothers and contribute to the healing of their wounds. On this occasion, I wish God's mercy on our Pakistani brothers and sisters who lost their lives in the flood disaster, and a speedy recovery to the injured. I convey my best wishes to the friendly and brotherly people of Pakistan, whose infrastructure has been badly damaged and who are trying to heal their wounds.'

Yalçın: 'I would like to express my gratitude to our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who guided us to deliver these aids to those in need, to our Minister of Transport, Mr. Adil Karaismailoğlu, who has always been with us with their support, and to our Ministry of Interior.' said.

AFAD President Yunus Sezer said that the people of Pakistan had a hard time due to the flood disaster, over a thousand people lost their lives in the country and millions of people were victims.

Noting that Turkey took the decision to send aid due to the increasing cost of the flood disaster, Sezer said that a bridge of heart was established with Pakistan and that they sent aid by air and rail.

Explaining that AFAD teams and representatives of non-governmental organizations are in Pakistan and that they aim to deliver 10 thousand tents to the region, Sezer said, “There are 3 tents, food and humanitarian aid materials here. As of today, we will have delivered 3 tents to Pakistan, together with the 5 thousand tents we will send and the ones we will send by air and supply locally.” gave the information.

Pakistan's Ambassador to Ankara Muhammed Sirus Seccad Gazi thanked Turkey for its humanitarian aid.

Stating that the relationship between Turkey and Pakistan is not only between states, but also between peoples, Gazi said, “Turkey has always been the first country to come to our aid.” used the phrase.

After prayers, the Goodness Train was sent off to Pakistan.
