Golden Horn Rowing Cup (International Golden Horn Rowing Races), organized by SPOR ISTANBUL, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), is held with the participation of 18 teams, 4 Turkish and 22 foreign, and a total of 360 athletes. The competitions held on the 4-meter-long track continue throughout the day in the categories of U500 Women, U19 Men, Women, Men and Masters. IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluGalatasaray Sports Club, who came first in the women's category, presented their trophies and medals. The Golden Horn A Team, which came second, received the award from Erhan Ertürk, President of the Turkish Rowing Federation, and the Golden Horn Rowing Team, which finished third, received the award from the President of IMM Sports Club, Fatih Keleş.

Speaking after giving the trophies to the Galatasaray athletes who reached the first place, İBB President Ekrem İmamoğluonce again emphasized his determination to bring the Olympic Games to Istanbul. İmamoğlu said, “We want to present the Olympics as a gift to Istanbul, the most beautiful city in the world. We want it to be an Olympic city together. We aspire to the 2036 games. We are the most ambitious candidate in the world. We are an administration that knows that the Olympics can be awarded to a city with its people. Stating that they attach great importance to the Golden Horn and do all the necessary work to keep it clean, the IMM President said, “We have activated the tram line right on the opposite side, on the Eyüpsultan side. Together with this line, we are about to finish an extraordinary green area reaching approximately one million square meters. We will extend the tram until Eminönü. We are preparing cultural and artistic spaces here. We want it to become a geography where culture, art, biennial and art meet in all fields, especially Feshane and Haliç Shipyard, namely along the Golden Horn, and at the same time, sports. Because Golden Horn and Istanbul are one in the world. There is no other example. One of the rarest geographies in the world. Maybe the first. In this context, we will provide this place with the value it deserves together.”
İmamoğlu made an assessment about the races to the members of the press after the award ceremony. Stating that the Golden Horn and its surroundings will become much more lively with different activities, İmamoğlu said, "We will set out to make a stronger tournament next year." İmamoğlu, who left the ceremony area to watch the race in the men's category, watched the ongoing race off the Golden Horn.
