Construction Works for Akşehir OIZ Railway Freight Transportation Begins

In order for the products produced in the Akşehir Organized Industrial Zone to reach their buyers quickly and economically, construction works are starting for a loading point to be built in the old station building in Gözpınarı Mahallesi.

Regarding the start of construction works, Republic of Turkey State Railways 7th Regional Director Adem Sivri, General Directorate of State Railways officials and technical personnel, contractor company officials, Akşehir Mayor Dr. Salih Akkaya, Akşehir OIZ Deputy Chairman and Akşehir Municipality Councilor Çakır Buğra made an examination in front of the old station building in Gözpınarı District.

Stating that the loading point construction works will begin, President Akkaya said, “A 2-way loading center will be built in this area in the investment program of our General Directorate of State Railways. In this loading center, the products produced and manufactured in our Organized Industry will be transported to Konya Logistics center under very favorable conditions and prices by rail, and from there they will be transported to the ports and sent abroad at the export point. This loading center is a must for our industrialists in the organization. It is an issue that will seriously blow up their exports and ignite them. In the past months, our Organized Delegation, together with our Organized Industry Chairman of the Board Ahmet Emin Makascı, AK Party District Chairman Abdurrahman Çardakoğlu, our Organized Industry Board of Directors members and our Akşehir citizen, our Deputy Orhan Erdem, visited our esteemed General Manager. Thank goodness they got it in the program. Our Regional Manager, Adem Sivri, completed the work with his team and now he has entered the investment program. Today, we are conducting an on-site inspection together with the company officials who have taken the commitment. Hopefully, within the scope of this project in Akşehir; 3 investments, including an overpass in Yeniköy, where accidents cause animal waste from time to time, an underpass in the area where transportation to our university is provided, TOKİ residences, prison and higher education dormitories in Kozağaç, plus a loading center here. will be done.
