High-speed train will be built from Adana to Habura: Development Minister Lütfi Elvan, we aim to create attraction centers related to the investment planned to the East. Development Minister Lütfi Elvan spoke about the investment of 62 billion pounds which will be made to the east announced last week in the live broadcast of Habertürk TV.
Highlights from Minister Elvan's statements are as follows:
- We aim to create attraction centers related to the investment planned to the east. We are making significant investments in transportation in this region. He is working on the Kars-Tbilisi Baku line in the region. On the other hand, works were started for the high-speed train line from Gaziantep to Adana to Habur.
- We are establishing a logistics center in Kars. We are not only concerned with agriculture, animal husbandry, logistics areas. There is another area that does not come to the fore much. I am talking about the call center sector, there is a very important potential in terms of employment.
- 300-400 thousand people need to work in the sector in order to reach the world average in the call center sector. We have removed the barriers to investments in this area. We have many incentives. We will build the buildings and the necessary equipment for the entrepreneurs who want to establish a call center in our eastern provinces. We will train the employees that he will employ from that region.
- Employing a person in call centers is much less costly than in other sectors… One person only has a cost of 850 lira. Inshaalh, we will launch these investments in the coming days.
2020 BILLION TL INVESTMENT UP TO THE END OF 62
- By the end of 2020, we anticipate an investment of 62 billion lira in our eastern provinces. Which investments we will make in which year was planned. Ministries did all the work on this issue. These numbers should not be seen as too many… All ministries have determined these numbers by revealing their projects for the next 5 years.
If there is a problem in terms of working capital among the idle investments, these supports will be provided and the operation of these places will be provided. Inactive facilities in the region are identified. We will provide the necessary support if these facilities are able to stand up.
