Railway modelling enthusiasts will gather on 8 and 9 November 2025 at La Ferté-sous-Jouarrein the Seine-et-Marne region, about 60 kilometres east of Paris. Organised by the Les Hameaux Fertois association, in partnership with AMFI (Amicale des Modélistes Ferroviaires Indépendants), this 3rd modelling fair is set to be an unmissable event for those interested in miniature trains and the railway world.
Exhibition of Hundreds of Hours of Labour from Thirty Participants
Around thirty participants are expected for this two-day event at the Picherettes gymnasium, including modelling clubs and independent modellers from all over the region. These enthusiasts will exhibit their works, which are the product of hundreds of hours of patient work.
Among the artefacts to be exhibited:
- Impressive Precision: The station, railway landscape and industrial complexes are reproduced with incredible detail.
- Storytelling: Each model on display evokes a region and shares a story of railway history with the audience.
Interactive Experience and Family Fun
The La Ferté-sous-Jouarre fair is not just a spectacle; the event is also characterised by its interactive dimension. On some public tracks, visitors will have the chance to take control of miniature trains in person. For children and adults who dream of becoming a stationmaster or locomotive engineer, this is one of the most attractive aspects of the fair, which focuses on knowledge transfer and sharing.
The fair caters for all audiences. Whether you are a seasoned collector, just an enthusiast or a family with children, this is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in a fascinating world where technique, creativity and passion for detail blend.
