Türk Sağlık-Sen Kocaeli Branch President Ömer Çeker, in his statement after his visit to Family Physicians and Family Health Workers working in FHCs, said: "The chronic problems of Family Physicians and Family Health Workers should be solved.
Underlining that they want the income tax of public employees to be fixed at 15 percent, as stated by Chairman Önder Kahveci, Mayor Çeker said, "In order to ensure justice and equity, it is essential to make an adjustment in the income tax tariff of public employees. The majority of income tax collections are made from employees." . A regulation must be enacted for civil servants in order to distribute income fairly and alleviate the tax burden. One of the reasons why we do not accept the collective agreement signed in August 2023, which determines the salary increase and social rights of public employees for 2024 and 2025, is that our request regarding the tax bracket is ignored and the issues of compensation for losses arising from the tax bracket are not accepted. The tax bracket issue is one of the main issues awaiting solution for public employees. We want steps to be taken in this regard. "We will continue to raise this issue on all platforms and fight for a solution so that the labor and sweat of the employee is not wasted in my tax bracket and a reasonable taxation system is implemented," he said.
In his written statement, Çeker said, “Our call is to carry out efforts to eliminate the grievances of economic workers. In addition to the monthly payment of the additional raise and inflation difference, it is our request on behalf of the ASM employees to make legal arrangements to fix the tax bracket and to end the deductions from the salaries of the Family Physicians and Family Health Workers working in the ASM, if they go on annual leave or cannot find someone to take care of them when they get sick.” said.
