President Steinmeier, together with Johannes Regenbrecht, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Istanbul, held a meeting closed to the press with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality delegation led by İmamoğlu, at the historical Orient Express Restaurant.
After the meeting, President Steinmeier and İmamoğlu visited the "Railway Museum" together with Istanbul Governor Davut Gül. The delegation toured the museum with the narration of the famous historian İlber Ortaylı and experienced the visual memory of migration to Germany by visiting the exhibition themed "Migration of Turkish Workers to Germany" and the exhibition "Longing Abroad" about Turkish women workers and their music.
