Derince-Körfez Kaşkaldere Interchange in Kocaeli is Counting the Days

Kaşkaldere (95 Houses) D-100 Six Junction and Connection Roads works carried out by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality have been largely completed.

The old culvert under D-100 was renewed. The infrastructure passing through the culvert was arranged and displaced. The culvert under D-100, where Plent Mix Foundation was laid, was made ready for asphalting. The existing culvert under Kaşkaldere Junction was expanded and a new 326-meter culvert was built. Asphalt work has started on the road from the culvert to Yenikent direction.

396 BORED PILE, BRIDGE PARALLEL TO D-100

Bridge beam installations were carried out on the new road built for direct access to the southern side road (Istiklal Street), which continues in front of the Old Provincial Police Department, to the Cherry junction on D-100. With the bridge, where 20 beams are mounted, it will be possible to reach the cherry junction (Cahit Zarifoğlu Street) and the direction of Istanbul without interruption via the southern side road. It will be connected to the roundabout from the Izmit-Istanbul direction with a two-span, 100-meter-long, 40-meter-wide additional bridge, raised to the same height as D-8.50. In the region located on the border of Derince and Körfez districts, where there is heavy traffic flow, easy and comfortable transportation will be provided as well as accelerating the flow of traffic. Within the scope of the works, 396 bored piles were driven. A total of 396 bored piles were driven to a depth of 6 thousand 100 meters. In addition to the bored piles, 1 DSMs were applied to a total depth of 530 thousand meters to strengthen the ground. Within the scope of the ground improvement and consolidation work, columns up to 20 meters deep were created.
