Hasçelik Stands Out at the Fair with Its Sustainable Investments

ISTANBUL (IGFA) – Hasçelik, Turkey's largest qualified bright steel producer, participated in the Wire&Wire event held in Düsseldorf, Germany, between 15-19 April.Tube Joined in 2024.

STRATEGIC APPROACH FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Sustainability was one of the prominent themes at the fair, which hosted more than a thousand exhibitors and 143 thousand visitors this year, with visitors from 43 countries participating. Stating that Hasçelik has successfully fulfilled its commitments in the field of sustainability in recent years and closely follows technological developments in order to reduce its carbon footprint, Faydasıçok said, “As Hasçelik, we adopt a strategic and comprehensive approach to build a sustainable future. First of all, we are reshaping our supply chain and business partnerships with a sustainability-oriented approach. As a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, we are taking serious steps to reduce our carbon footprint. By making continuous improvements in waste management and material efficiency, we recycle 99 percent of our waste. By investing in energy efficiency and renewable energy, we plan to meet 2024 percent of our electricity consumption from solar energy in 100 and increase our energy efficiency by 2030 percent by 30. In the long term, we aim to be carbon neutral with a target of net zero emissions by 2050.” made his assessment.

NEW INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT BRAND CROMBAR INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME

Stating that Hasçelik, which also introduced its new industrial product brand Crombar at the fair, has commissioned the most modern facility of its sector in the world in TOSB with an investment of 35 million Euros, Naci Faydasıçok said, "With the new facility, steel bars and pipes are the first and only size in the world." Infrastructure production processes were completed by providing traceability on a basic basis. "We will continue to add value to our customers with all our colleagues in the future, with our service approach that works within continuous packaging and micron tolerances and does not compromise on product quality," he said.
