Şişecam General Manager Görkem Elverici said about the glassware furnace that was fired after its cold repair was completed in Eskişehir: “Our investments that we opened today in Eskişehir are not limited only to the glass packaging field. We completed the cold repair of our second furnace at the Eskişehir Glassware production facility with an investment of approximately 29 million dollars. The additional capacity obtained took Şişecam to the world leadership in glassware production. The renewed glassware furnace will provide service with an annual gross capacity of 64 thousand tons and provide additional employment for 246 people. Our glassware production capacity in Eskişehir reached approximately 190 thousand tons annually. "As a result of all these investments, Şişecam's consolidated production capacity in the glass packaging and glassware business areas in Eskişehir has reached approximately 1 million tons," he said.
