President Erdoğan attended the Earthquake Housing Draw and Key Delivery Ceremony via live link.

Stating that they are with every disaster victim, Erdoğan noted that they reached 15 million people with a resource of 2 billion lira, from moving to rent to temporary shelter.

Announcing that they delivered the completed houses at the beginning of last month, Erdoğan said, “With the draw we started today, we are bringing 30 thousand 723 more citizens to their homes. The target is to provide 200 thousand houses by the end of the year. We have exceeded the number of 1,5 thousand houses in 76 months. We are very close to achieving our goals. "Our aim is to reunite all 390 thousand beneficiaries, consisting of 11 thousand houses, 500 thousand 40 barns and 500 thousand 442 workplaces, with their homes and workplaces," he said.

President Erdoğan stated that they allocated over 1 trillion liras of resources this year alone and said, “We spent the same amount last year. These are just expenses from the budget. The contributions of NGOs and our citizens are excluded from this. "We aim to completely remove the earthquake burden on our country and cities," he said.

“EARTHQUAKE IS AN ISSUE BEYOND POLITICS”

Meanwhile, stating that they are preparing the earthquake region as well as the whole country for the Turkey Century, Erdoğan said, “We do not allow any agenda to distract us from our program regarding the earthquake region. Last May, we had an important election in which you determined the president. Now we are on the eve of a new election. Conflicts are constantly expanding in our region. Earthquake is a matter beyond politics and cannot be ignored. We nominated Murat Kurum for Istanbul, which has the highest earthquake risk and post-earthquake loss. "We have no doubt that our brother Murat, who has successfully managed the work in all disasters in the last 5 years, will prepare Istanbul for the earthquake in the best way possible," he said.
