Turkish Statistical Institute published Motor Land Vehicle Statistics for the first month of the year. Accordingly, 213 thousand 493 vehicles were registered to traffic in January.
While the number of vehicles registered in traffic increased by 7,1 percent compared to the previous month, it increased by 111,7 percent in trucks, 109,9 percent in minibuses, 70,8 percent in special purpose vehicles, 47,2 percent in buses and 39,9 percent in pickup trucks compared to the previous month. While it increased by 25,6 percent in automobiles, it decreased by 50,5 percent in tractors and 21,1 percent in motorcycles.
The number of vehicles registered to traffic increased by 33,3 percent compared to the same month last year.
While the total number of vehicles registered in traffic was 28 million 951 thousand 792 as of the end of January, 53 percent of the registered vehicles were automobiles, 17,8 percent were motorcycles, 15,6 percent were pickup trucks and 7,6 percent were vehicles. tractors, 3,3 percent trucks, 1,7 percent minibuses, 0,7 percent buses and 0,3 percent special purpose vehicles.
While 782 thousand 589 vehicles were transferred in January, 113 thousand 269 cars were registered to traffic in January.
While 66,5 percent of the cars registered to traffic were gasoline fueled, gray was the most preferred color. Of the cars registered to traffic, 38,4 thousand 43 cars, corresponding to 509 percent, were gray. Of the 113 thousand 269 cars registered to traffic in January, 26,1 percent were white, 12,4 percent were blue, 11,7 percent were black, 6,5 percent were red, 2,3 percent were green. 1,3 percent was orange, 0,5 percent was purple and 0,4 percent was brown.
