Minister of Commerce Mr. Ömer Bolat, Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Kayseri Members of Parliament Hulusi Akar, Şaban Çopuroğlu, Ayşe Böhürler, Deputy Minister of Commerce Mahmut Gürcan, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç, Deputy Governor Ömer Tekeş, Chamber of Industry President Mehmet Büyüksimitçi, Chamber of Commerce President Ömer Gülsoy, KAYMOS President Hasan Arapoğlu, Non-Governmental Organization representatives and company officials attended.
Making a statement about the fair, Governor Gökmen Çiçek said, “Our Kayseri ranks first in Turkey in furniture production and exports. Therefore, it is important to hold such fairs to increase our exports. 1200 of the 184 companies participating in the Istanbul Furniture Fair are companies from Kayseri. “I wish success to our companies.” said
Governor Gökmen Çiçek also said, “We can come together around the same table in a very short time, when it comes to Kayseri. We pray and support the 184 companies participating in the fair to increase their exports and create added value for the Turkish economy and the Kayseri economy. “We created little Kayseri here.” he said.
After the opening, Governor Gökmen Çiçek and protocol members visited the stands of Kayseri furniture companies and received information.
Istanbul Furniture Fair will be held in two parts at Istanbul Expo Center and TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center and will be open between 23-28 January 2024.
