Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyespor Women's Volleyball Team, which competed in the Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) Women's 2nd League and guaranteed to participate in the play-offs, played away against İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyespor in the 19th week match.
Our Sultans made simple mistakes in the first set of the match and won this set 26-24. The green-whites used their offensive line well in the second set and won the set 25-13. The sultans of the metropolitan city focused on their young players in the last set of the match. With the successful performance of the young players, the green-whites won this set 25-8 and won the match with a net score of 3-0. Sude scored 17 points, Göksu scored 16 points, and Sevinç scored 10 points for our sultans, who added a new victory to their league wins. At the end of the match, BBSK Board Member Metin Memiş congratulated the athletes and the technical staff and wished them success.
Evaluating the match, Head Coach Caner Doğançay said, “We are guaranteed to participate in the play-offs. However, even though we have reached the last weeks, our League marathon continues. We want to get through these matches without any losses. We made simple mistakes in the first set against Izmir Büyükşehir Belediyespor and gave too many points to our opponent. Starting from the second set, our experienced and young players recovered and won the match with their performances. We are advancing towards our goal with firm steps, without losing our pace.
