Bursa Metropolitan Municipality has accelerated its urban transformation projects with the goal of a Bursa that is more resistant to earthquakes. Yiğitler-Esenevler-75, which was implemented in Yıldırım. While the rough constructions came to the stage of completion in the first stage of the Year Urban Transformation Project, demolition accelerated in the second stage.

Realizing projects that will carry Bursa into the future in every field from transportation to infrastructure, the Metropolitan Municipality has accelerated its urban transformation projects to make Bursa, which is in the first degree earthquake zone, a safer city against earthquakes. The first phase constructions of the urban transformation project of Yıldırım, which includes Yiğitler, Esenevler and 75. Yıl neighborhoods of Yıldırım, are rapidly increasing. The owners of 7 residences and 4 shops belonging to the beneficiaries were determined by a lottery in the 104st Stage, which consists of 16 blocks with a ground plus 1 floors and a total of 65 apartments and 2 shops.

The second stage accelerated

The second phase of the project, which covers a total area of ​​6,19 hectares and will have 3 residences with the completion of all 500 phases, continues with the demolition of the buildings belonging to the beneficiaries for whom a settlement has been made in return for real estate. Within the scope of the project, a compromise was reached with 29 of the 21 building owners on the road between Erdoğan Street and Esenevler Junction, and the demolition of 8 more buildings was started. While the demolition of a total of 9 buildings, including 17 buildings that were previously demolished and newly demolished, was completed, the evacuation process continues in 4 buildings where a compromise was reached. Expropriation procedures for the remaining 8 buildings are still ongoing. With these demolitions, Erdogan Street and 2nd Street connection roads will be opened to transportation, and the important transportation axes of the district will be connected to Ankara Road Esenevler Junction.

It will add value to Yildirim

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that the project implemented in Yıldırım, where the density of illegal and distorted construction is high, will set an example for other transformations to be made in the region. Reminding that the beneficiaries in the first stage are determined by lot, Mayor Aktaş said, “The second stage is of great importance in terms of urbanization as well as the breathing of transportation in the region. With these demolitions, Erdoğan Street will be connected to Esenevler Junction on Ankara Road. We started this process with a citizen-oriented approach, a non-profit model based on mutual trust, and we continue to do so. The project will both add value to Yıldırım and increase the quality of life of the people of the region.”
