The Ministry of Labor and Social Security, within the scope of its work on retirees, with the law proposal, which includes the increase of the lowest pension, which is on the agenda of the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, to 7 thousand 500 TL and the amount of the holiday bonus to 2 thousand TL, within the scope of the social state understanding, the retirees are protected from inflation. It continues to make improvements to protect it from destruction.
Over 8 Million Citizens Will Benefit From The Regulation
Within the scope of the improvements made by the Ministry for retirees; The pensioner's lower limit pension, which was brought as a thousand TL in 2019, was increased to 2020 TL in 500, and then to 2022 thousand 2 TL in January 500. The pension lower limit pension, which was increased to 2022 thousand 3 TL as of July 500, was increased to 2023 thousand 5 TL as of January 500.
Retired lower limit pension will be increased from 2023 thousand 36,36 TL to 5 thousand 500 TL with an increase of 7 percent as of the 500/April payment period, within the scope of the improvements made to protect retired citizens against the destruction of inflation. Thus, the lowest pension will increase by 2022 percent compared to December 114,3. Starting from the payment period of April 2023, monthly salaries paid on file basis will be paid as 7 thousand 500 TL and 8,8 million retired citizens will benefit from this arrangement.
Holiday Bonuses to be increased to 82 thousand TL with an increase of 2 percent
The holiday bonus application, which started to be paid as a thousand TL during the Ramadan Feast and Eid al-Adha in 2018, was increased to 2021 TL in 100. With the new regulation, the amount of the holiday bonus was increased by 82 percent to 2 thousand TL. Thus, retired citizens will receive a bonus of 2 thousand TL in both Ramadan and Eid-al-Adha. 15,6 million retirees will benefit from this arrangement, including citizens who will retire under EYT.
Holiday Bonuses with Increases Will Be Debited in Accounts in April
The 2023 Eid-al-Fitr bonus will be paid before the feast, in April, and the Eid-al-Adha bonus will be paid in June before the feast. A holiday bonus of 2 thousand TL will be paid in proportion to the shares of the beneficiaries, and in proportion to the degree of permanent incapacity for those who receive income from work accidents. The holiday bonus will come at the rate of more than one share in the file of the person who deserves retirement, and the monthly payments will be paid from the file that will be paid the most.
With the holiday bonus application, which started to be implemented in 2018, 114 billion TL holiday bonus has been paid to retired citizens, including Ramadan and Sacrifice Holidays.
