Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen stated that the aid delivered to the region is very important, but that the damaged farmers and producers should be supported so that they can return to production, and said, “We said that we will heal our wounds together and we are working hard for this. In Malatya, we took action to buy the apricots left in the hands of our producers in the regions where destruction was intense. We supported our apricot producers by purchasing nearly 6 tons of products. I invite all our local governments to support the producers in the region. With the support we will give to our earthquake survivors, we will both heal the wounds and enable them to reproduce. Our support to our provinces in the disaster area will continue uninterrupted.” he said.

Apricot producers, who said that they will breathe with the work done, said, “Our products were left under the debris. Our houses were destroyed. We would have to sell the products we produced to opportunists at all costs. With the work of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, we had the opportunity to sell our products. Many thanks to all the supporters. We are trying to hold on to life again. It will be our only consolation that our efforts are not in vain.” they said.
