Eskişehir, one of the places where the first furniture was born in Anatolia, is preparing for the 'Furniture Fair 2023'. Eskişehir's first professional furniture fair, which was held last year in cooperation with Eskişehir Furniture Industry Cluster (ESMOS) and Tüyap, will be held between 3-7 May this year.
ESO Board Members, who came together at Eskişehir Chamber of Industry to evaluate what can be done to promote Eskişehir furniture to wider audiences, held a consultation meeting with ESMOS Members and TÜYAP Fairs.
ESMOS President Ertuğrul Tezgören, who made evaluations before the meeting, stated that local and foreign companies showed great interest in Eskişehir's first professional furniture fair last year and said, “We set out with the motto of everything for Eskişehir. As Cluster, we are working to develop our sector, to produce high value-added products and to contribute to our country. Our country's exports of furniture, paper and forestry products increased by 20,8 percent to $8,44 billion, reaching the highest annual figure of all time. We aim to increase the export figure by working intensively in the 100th anniversary of our Republic. We, as Eskişehir Furniture Cluster, will be at the fair with all our members for the high export target of our country and for the better promotion of our city's furniture.”

Speaking at the meeting, Eskişehir Furniture Fair Coordinator and ESMOS Vice President Hakan Korkmaz stated that there was a lot of work in the furniture sector this year, and said, “We established our furniture cluster at the beginning of the pandemic. Despite many difficulties, our cluster has done well. However, after the earthquake, we have more work and duties. After the earthquake, our country went into a reconstruction move. We have to put our hands under the stone. We will do what we know best; We will support this move by 'Producing Furniture'. On the other hand, we will provide income to our country with exports. This year, we will organize the fair, which is why it is very valuable. We will host our domestic and foreign companies at the fair. We are waiting for all our sector representatives, domestic and foreign purchasing experts and our people to the fair. We will heal our wounds together by producing and exporting. It is among our duties to make our Eskişehir furniture a world brand”.
After the opening speeches, ESMOS and TÜYAP officials consulted about the fair.
