Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mobilized all its units and facilities after the earthquakes that occurred one after another in Gaziantep and Kahramanmaraş.

After the earthquake, the epicenter of which was in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş and the effects of which were felt in 10 provinces, ABB teams set out for the disaster area.

Noting that 2 rescue vehicles and 20 personnel of the Ankara Fire Brigade were dispatched to the region by plane at the first stage, Yavaş said, “Afterwards, a total of 9 vehicles from our Ankara Fire Brigade, including K21 rescue dogs and rescue vehicles, and 89 of our colleagues moved to the region.”

Adding that 126 personnel and 72 vehicles belonging to the Department of Science and Technology were on the way to support the work in the region, Yavaş continued his statement as follows:

“Our Social Services Department has 5 vehicles and 20 personnel, our BELPA company has 2 TIRs, 1 mobile kitchen, 12 vehicles and 42 personnel, ASKİ 7 TIRs, Seğmen Su 1 TIR, Urban Aesthetics 4 vehicles 8 personnel, Halk Ekmek with 2 mobile bakeries and 16 personnel. set off with. So far, 129 vehicles and 339 personnel from our Ankara Metropolitan Municipality have moved to the earthquake zone. This number is increasing every minute. In addition, we send the necessary supports such as health supplies, blankets, generators, mobile toilets, diapers, shoes, coats and powerbanks to the region. We will continue to work uninterruptedly in coordination with all state institutions to heal the wounds of the disaster. I wish God's mercy on our citizens who lost their lives, condolences to their relatives and loved ones, and a speedy recovery to our injured citizens."
