“With the South Marmara Hydrogen Valley Project, prepared by a 16-member consortium, we will hopefully implement Turkey's first hydrogen valley project. The EU grant of 7,5 euros, which we will receive from the European Union (EU) within the scope of this project, is the highest amount we have obtained from our projects at once. With this project, we will nurture the hydrogen economy in a different dimension in the Southern Marmara Region, which is the leader in renewable energy installed power. A minimum of 500 tons of hydrogen per year and hydrogen derivatives such as methanol and ammonia, which Turkey is dependent on abroad, will begin to be produced in Balıkesir. We wish good luck to Balıkesir and our country in this project that will serve green development and set an example not only for Turkey but also for Europe.”

Previously, he imported his engines and assembled them here. Currently, it will produce the 5th generation tractor engines in Balikesir with 95 percent locality in Turkey. We say 'good luck'. In addition, Karesi Tekstil will hopefully start producing polymer chips, one of Turkey's most important import items, in Bandırma OSB in Balıkesir. As the Ministry of Industry and Technology, we are determined to create an ecosystem that allows technological advances, healthy sustainable and value-added economic growth in our country. Today, we are in your presence to make the official opening of 8 projects supported by Havran Science and Technology Center and South Marmara Development Agency, which contribute to this ecosystem. Havran Science and Technology Center has already started to accelerate the developments in the field of science and technology by serving Balıkesir and its surroundings. Students and teachers from all over Balıkesir and even neighboring provinces Çanakkale and İzmir come together at this center. Our science center, which has an indoor area of 1000 square meters, has 3 experimental setups in areas such as robotic coding, 135D printer modeling, physics, chemistry, biology, production skills, model airplanes and model airplanes. With these experimental setups, our students blend the theoretical knowledge they learned at school with practice.”

“I attach great importance to mining. I attach great importance to gold mining and I always try to voice this issue at the podiums. There are people who criticize me. They say, 'Are you an enemy of nature? Are you anti-environmental?' No, of course, we are not enemies of nature or anything, but if you are doing this right, if you are doing it by following the rules, rest assured that keeping those gold coins under the ground is nothing but a fool. Today, if Canada, America and the developed Western countries of the world are gold mining, why shouldn't we? As long as we follow the rules and take the necessary precautions. Let's do our job properly. That's why we must bring these values to our economy. In this sense, TÜMAD Mining is one of the companies that do this job right. It is a mining company whose success has been registered not only in Turkey but also by the United Nations. So far they've done this well. I hope they will not embarrass us from now on."

Stating that they will organize TEKNOFEST in Izmir, Istanbul and Ankara on the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Varank invited all citizens to participate in these events.
