In his speech via video at the event, Ramsar Wetlands Convention Secretary General Monsoon Mumba thanked China for hosting the 14th Ramsar Wetlands Convention Conference of the Parties (COP14) and for its leadership role as the presiding country of the Ramsar Wetlands Convention.
Stating that China has continuously strengthened the protection and management of wetlands by implementing the Wetlands Conservation Law and the National Wetlands Conservation Plan covering the years 2022-2030, Mumba said: He stated that he expects him to lead the way in developing the cause of protecting areas.
