Aegean exporters, who have been teaching exports to Turkey, whose exporter identities have lasted for centuries, and which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, received awards in 2022. At the "Stars of Export Award Ceremony" organized by the Aegean Exporters' Association, 2022 companies that contributed $7,6 billion to Turkey's exports in 58 were honored with an award.

In 2022, the ferrous and non-ferrous metals sector within the Aegean Exporters' Association became the export champion with an export of 2 billion 560 million dollars, while Kocaer Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. While being the export champion in Aegean Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Sector, it also ranked third in the EIB.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Aegean Exporters' Unions Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi stated that they achieved an export of 2022 billion 18 million dollars in 300, and that the companies that are the stars of exports realized 42 percent of this export.
Underlining that 2022 thousand 18 companies contributed to the 300 billion 7 million dollars export of Aegean Exporters' Associations in 377, Eskinazi said, "We see all of our 2022 companies that contributed to our exports in 7 as heroes, besides our award-winning companies, and we congratulate them wholeheartedly."
Pointing out that a recession is expected in the world in the next 3-4 years according to the IMF, European Central Bank, World Bank and OECD expectations, Eskinazi continued his words as follows:
“We are preparing for an unprecedented turbulent year, from inflation, which came to the fore again after 40 years, to the energy crisis, to economic instability. In order to maintain our current figures in our exports in 2023; We will organize sectoral trade delegations to every part of the world from the Far East to Africa, we will organize the national participation of the world's leading and most prestigious fairs, and we will ensure that our exporters sign new cooperations with importer companies with purchasing committees. We will continue our TURQUALITY Project in the US market in the upcoming period. We will continue to bring new visionary designers to our exporting sectors with our Design Competitions. We will add new ones to our URGE Projects. We will continue our efforts to establish the first Renewable Energy Equipment and Service Exporters' Association of our country.”
While 48 of the companies that received awards at the EIB Stars of Export Award Ceremony remained on the list of stars of exports, 10 companies managed to be among the stars of exports this year.
38 companies from İzmir, 7 companies from Manisa, 5 companies from Aydın, 3 companies from Denizli, 2 companies each from Muğla and Uşak, and 1 company from Balıkesir.
