Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, which has brought historical monuments to the future with its restoration works in recent years, has started a restoration in the historical Selimiye Konak in Altınordu.

The historical mansion belonging to the Köymen family, located on Hamam Street in Altınordu Selimiye Mahallesi, which was expropriated in 2013, will be restored by the Metropolitan Municipality and added to the cultural inventory.

The teams, which started to work by dismantling the historical mansion, which sits on a 512 square meter closed area on a land of approximately 172 square meters and was built at the end of the 19th century, will restore the mansion to its original form after removing unqualified annexes, cleaning, repairing and consolidating, reintegrating and renovating.

CONSISTS OF 3-STOREY BUILDING

Selimiye Konak, which was built as three floors on a half-floor basement; It consists of a structure with a hipped roof, four chamfered Turkish style tiles on the outside, and the eaves protruding on all façades. All windows of the mansion, whose entrance is reached by a thirteen-step staircase extending from the courtyard, are of guillotine type.
