The “Cyber ​​Security Entrepreneurship Program” initiated by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality to support young entrepreneurs in the field of cyber security has been concluded. The business ideas of 5 entrepreneurs were deemed worthy of support. President Soyer said, “We will enable our young entrepreneurs to open up to the world market with creative ideas. We will build the future of this country together, with good luck and with love. As long as we don't turn our backs on hope," he said.

The “Cyber ​​Security Entrepreneurship Program” initiated by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality to develop technology-based projects in the field of cyber security, and to contribute to the Izmir economy by supporting young entrepreneurs with high commercial intelligence and awareness, has been concluded. In the program organized in cooperation with Yaşar University and the University of Economics Bilimpark, the business ideas of 5 entrepreneurs were deemed worthy of support. Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyermet with entrepreneurs at the ceremony held at the Sovereignty House. Sezen Uysal, who is the owner of the project and is in the United States (USA), also connected to the program online.

“An effective cyber security ecosystem will be created in İzmir”

President speaking at the program Tunç Soyer, said that they aim to strengthen the use of cyber security products and technologies in the public with this program carried out by the Department of Information Technologies. Mayor Soyer stated that with this project, which is carried out for the first time in Turkey by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, they will provide young entrepreneurs with mentorship support as well as opportunities to access investors and foreign markets. Underlining that they will thus create an effective cyber security ecosystem for institutions in İzmir, Soyer said, “We support our young entrepreneurs to open up to the world market with creative ideas. I would like to thank all of you in advance for your support in our goal of establishing a safer cyber ecosystem in Izmir.”

Among the names to be supported under the Cyber ​​Security Entrepreneurship Program are Burak – Assel Üçoklar (Governance risk compliance program), Davut Eren (Central vulnerability management software), Kaan Özyazıcı (Artificial intelligence-based new generation SIEM), Taylan Akbaş (Biometric signature authentication application), Özgür Tarcan (Mobile application that provides internet security on mobile devices) took place.
