While the excavations in İncesu, which started with the support of the Metropolitan Municipality, are continuing at full speed, Mayor Büyükkılıç, who has been examining the excavation site, stated that this work will both shed light on the history and will provide an important gain for the city, while Governor Çiçek said, “Our Metropolitan Municipality, with great effort, perseverance. Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, together with Governor Gökmen Çiçek, examined the ongoing archaeological excavations in the Örenşehir District of İncesu district with the support of the Metropolitan Municipality.
Archaeological excavations, carried out under the supervision of the Kayseri Museum Directorate with the support of the Metropolitan Municipality, in the village of İçi, Örenşehir Mahallesi, İncesu District, continue at full speed.
Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, together with Governor Gökmen Çiçek, examined the archaeological excavations in the Örenşehir District of İncesu District on site. Governor Çiçek and Mayor Büyükkılıç received information about the latest situation in the excavations from the Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Şükrü Dursun and archaeologists.
Mayor Büyükkılıç, who made a statement during the examination of the ongoing works in the Örenşehir mosaics region, said, “With the decision taken by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, we are examining an important and meaningful work carried out with the knowledge of our esteemed governor with our Ministry of Culture.”
Emphasizing that it is a work that will shed light on history, Büyükkılıç said, “The mosaics unearthed here are a work that dates back to 200 BC, in line with the information given by our esteemed scientists and excavation specialists. We consider it an important and meaningful work within the borders of Kayseri in the Cappadocia region. I would like to express that I hope that the data to be obtained from here will both shed light on history and gain an important benefit for our city.”
Mayor Büyükkılıç also thanked those who contributed to the study and said, "I would like to thank each and every one of our esteemed governor, our esteemed Mayor of İncesu, our district governor and our colleagues who contributed."

In the information he received from the researchers, Governor Çiçek noted that this place pointed to someone known and important in history due to its large size, and that they assumed that it might belong to an important person, and said:

Because, as you know, this excavation is carried out in cooperation with our Metropolitan Municipality and the Ministry of Culture. I believe that this work contains information that will set the stones in place not only for İncesu, not for Kayseri, not for Turkey, but for the whole world history. Our hope is there.”
Governor Çiçek and Mayor Büyükkılıç were accompanied by İncesu District Governor Aydın Göçer, İncesu Mayor Mustafa İlmek and Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Hamdi Elcuman.
According to the first findings, approximately 4 square meters of solid mosaic floor slabs were unearthed in the building, which is considered to be examples of late Roman and Early Byzantine civil housing after the 300th century AD. The building, of which more than 10 rooms have been opened and excavations are still ongoing, draws attention as the largest mosaic structure in Central Anatolia that has been identified.
MOSAICS WITH GRAKIC AND LATIN WRITING
A mosaic-inscription unearthed as a result of the salvage excavations was seen in the building, which is dominated by geometric ornaments and includes the names of the people who built it and plant figures. The mosaic with a Latin inscription was found on the floor of a rectangular building, while the other mosaic with a Greek inscription was laid on the floor of another building surrounded by a partially preserved wall. Latin mosaic, '30. on the occasion of its anniversary and with our prayers for it to reach its 40th anniversary. This building (factory) was built under the leadership of his friend (comes) Hyacinthos. There is also the Epi Uakithou Kometos Ktistou inscription, which is estimated to have been made during the time of Uakinthos Kometos, which was unearthed this year as part of the excavations. It is also known that this structure has similar examples in Antakya, Zeugma and Maraş in Anatolia.
