Kepez's International Folklore Festival Has Started

The International Folklore Festival, organized for the 6th time this year by Kepez Municipality within the scope of cultural and artistic activities, started with the opening cortege and the performances of folklore teams from all over the world.

The opening of the 6th International Folklore Festival, traditionally organized by Kepez Municipality every year, started with a cortege march to Dokumapark via Mehmet Akif Street. The cortege, in which the citizens showed great interest, was the scene of colorful images. The festival, which started with the cortege march of teams from all over the world and Turkey, continued with colorful shows at Özdilek AVM. 10 people, including 7 foreigners from Mexico and 594 locals from Anatolia, attended the festival.

Kepez Mayor Hakan Tütüncü said, “It is not easy to hold this event for six years. Labour would like to thank everyone who contributed. During the festival, 4 different groups will perform within the program determined for 24 days. These teams will give Antalya and our guests coming to Antalya a wonderful festival in different parts of the city. We are making Kepez a city of quality festivals with science festivals and culture and art festivals.”

Festivals Add Beauties to the City

President Tütüncü continued his words by saying, “We are organizing many nice events, festivals and organizations in Antalya's biggest district in order to make Antalya love science, culture and art, and to make Antalya a beautiful island of culture and arts. brings beauty. It becomes a horizon for future generations, an introduction to our city and an event that introduces our city's brand. We will continue to walk on this road, to point out those endless horizons to our youth with Bilimfest, and to open the door to those beautiful days of our past with such folklore festivals.”

Festival Air in Neighborhoods

Kepez Municipality spread the festival activities to the neighborhoods in order to ensure the participation of all citizens in the festival. After the performances to be held in Dokumapark on the first day, the second day of the festival, at 20.30, the shows continue in Dokumapark, while a folklore show will be held simultaneously in Atatürk Mahallesi Martyr Baş Police Kadir Can Park. On the third day of the festival; Folklore performances will continue at 20.30 in front of Kepez Town Square and Mehmet Akif District Headman's Office. On the fourth day of the festival; At 19.00, a cortege will be held on the route MarkAntalya-Kapalıyol-Cumhuriyet Square and colorful performances will be staged with a gala at the last stop, Cumhuriyet Square. Demonstrations will continue on Tuesday, August 30 at 20.30 in Dokumapark andvark Aktoprak Mahallesi Ahmet Cesme Street (Opposite Varsak Police Station).
