And I pray to the Creator that; Let the children of every household get the education they deserve, benefit from the blessings of this city as they deserve, get a job as they deserve, and build beautiful homes. May the existence of equality and justice in this city rise over this country like the sun.”

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlu and Kartal Mayor Gökhan Yüksel met with Alevi citizens at Pir Sultan Abdal Cultural Association and Djemevi in Pendik Şeyhli District on the 4th day of Muharram fast. Muharrem Grief bite was distributed with the prayer of grandfather Bektaş Özcan. Sharing the bite of the citizens, İmamoğlu said in his speech, “Our precious grandfather was together with us with his very good feelings and prayers. Being together with you frankly makes me the happiest person in the world.” "When I entered the cemevis, the feelings of our society, its patriotism, its loyalty to its nation and country always impressed me," said İmamoğlu.

“ALL BELIEVES BRING THIS NATION TOGETHER TOGETHER”

“The stone and soil of this country have been blended together, it is the most beautiful paradise in the world. The most important elements of this homeland, of course, its traditions, customs, lifestyle, of course its ethnic origins, of course its beliefs… All beliefs help this nation to become a whole. All traditions and customs help our nation to become a whole. In other words, we are the Turkish nation together. Together, we can look to the future with the best feelings and the most hopeful feelings. In this context, I cannot describe the strength and power that being together in the beautiful gatherings of our Alevi citizens, but in the mourning period in Muharram, in the mourning period, but in the most enthusiastic but painful moments.”

“I WISH TO HAVE A SOCIETY THAT TAKES LESSONS FROM PAIN”

Saying, "I wish together to look forward with hope from all the pains experienced from Karbala until today, and to create a nation, an environment and a society that learns from those troubled days and situations," İmamoğlu said, "We hope that this country and this city have 85 million people. I wish people, 16 million citizens, together with their children and young people to reach a beautiful future. And I pray to the Creator that; Let the children of every household get the education they deserve, benefit from the blessings of this city as they deserve, and get their job as they deserve. Build nice homes. May the presence of equality and justice in this city rise over this country like the sun.”

“CEMEHOUSES ARE HOUSES OF OUR ALEVİ CITIZENS. DOT."

Emphasizing that cemevis are places of worship for Alevi citizens, İmamoğlu said, “I have said it everywhere, I have always said it, without trying to explain another concept with commas or dots, and I say it today: Djemevis are the places of worship of our Alevi citizens. Dot. We, as public institutions that have to serve every faith, and as administrators who value the feelings of every citizen and have a principle to serve their faith, are obliged to provide all kinds of support and support to the needs of our cemevis or to cemevis that are needed in a region. So this is not a political choice. This is a personal favor, not a choice. This is the debt of our public institutions to our nation, that is, to our Alevi citizens. I say that our contribution to you is essential, since it pays off its debt.” Saying, “Very good days are waiting for us,” İmamoğlu said:

“With our joint efforts, together, shoulder to shoulder, thinking together, with reason, logic, ideas, conscience and morality, we will all get through difficult times together. This heavenly homeland was not easily established. We all have martyrs and veterans in our past. One hundred years ago, Mustafa Kemal, the founder of our Republic, who was approaching one hundred years old. Atatürk, his comrades in arms and every element of this heavenly homeland gave us a great struggle and entrusted us both this beautiful city and the paradise homeland. Now it's our turn. It is our duty to ensure that our children, young people, men and women, as a nation, in peace, security, prosperity and happiness in the second century of our Republic, by putting forth the best works and making an effort 7/24, will be happier in the second century. Believe me, we carry out our duties with this perspective and with this sense of duty.”

“WE GET OUR STRENGTH FROM YOU”

Saying "We get our strength and power from you," İmamoğlu ended his speech with the following words:

“But everywhere we pray is: O Allah, do not embarrass us with the beautiful hearts and beautiful eyes of our beautiful people, our brothers, our uncles, our sisters, our brothers and our fellow travelers. We are very sorry to be ashamed of you. Because you expect us to be very successful, I know. But you will see, we will not embarrass you, we will achieve superior success in meeting your expectations, and we will all together put our signature under a very good future for our country. We get the greatest strength from our nation. You are in a very different place in our nation. I wish the fasts held to be accepted. I wish that all your fasting and prayers will be instrumental in the good future of our country and our nation, in peace and tranquility. May Allah protect you all from the evil hearted ones. May Allah protect us all from those who try to set our nation against one another, to favor one another and to dominate one another. I say let's walk together towards a beautiful future.”
