IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluIn Pendik, Alevi citizens shared the Muharrem Grief bite. Emphasizing that cemevis are places of worship for Alevis, İmamoğlu said, “We hope that; 85 million people, 16 million citizens of this country and this city, together with their children and young people, reach a beautiful future. And I pray to the Creator that; Let the children of every household get the education they deserve, benefit from the blessings of this city as they deserve, get a job as they deserve, and build beautiful homes. May the existence of equality and justice in this city rise over this country like the sun.”
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlu and Kartal Mayor Gökhan Yüksel met with Alevi citizens at Pir Sultan Abdal Cultural Association and Djemevi in Pendik Şeyhli District on the 4th day of Muharram fast. Muharrem Grief bite was distributed with the prayer of grandfather Bektaş Özcan. Sharing the bite of the citizens, İmamoğlu said in his speech, “Our precious grandfather was together with us with his very good feelings and prayers. Being together with you frankly makes me the happiest person in the world.” "When I entered the cemevis, the feelings of our society, its patriotism, its loyalty to its nation and country always impressed me," said İmamoğlu.

“CEMEHOUSES ARE HOUSES OF OUR ALEVİ CITIZENS. DOT."
Emphasizing that cemevis are places of worship for Alevi citizens, İmamoğlu said, “I have said it everywhere, I have always said it, without trying to explain another concept with commas or dots, and I say it today: Djemevis are the places of worship of our Alevi citizens. Dot. We, as public institutions that have to serve every faith, and as administrators who value the feelings of every citizen and have a principle to serve their faith, are obliged to provide all kinds of support and support to the needs of our cemevis or to cemevis that are needed in a region. So this is not a political choice. This is a personal favor, not a choice. This is the debt of our public institutions to our nation, that is, to our Alevi citizens. I say that our contribution to you is essential, since it pays off its debt.” Saying, “Very good days are waiting for us,” İmamoğlu said:

This heavenly homeland was not easily established. We all have martyrs and veterans in our past. One hundred years ago, Mustafa Kemal, the founder of our Republic, who was approaching one hundred years old. Atatürk, his comrades in arms and every element of this heavenly homeland gave us a great struggle and entrusted us both this beautiful city and the paradise homeland. Now it's our turn.
